Illinois Families for Hands & Voices is a parent-driven, non-profit organization that supports families with children who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing without a bias around communication modes or methodologies.

Funds raised from our online auction allow us to provide scholarships to families for events as well as continue to provide free one on one support from our trained Parent Guides within our Guide By Your Side program.

With 95% of children born to hearing parents it is typically unchartered territory for us as parents.  Unaware of resources, options and connections parents feel lost and unprepared to successfully make decisions and parent their child.  It is through events like ours, the one on one support and unbiased information we provide that parents are enabled to confidently love, lead and make choices that will work for them and their child.

Our funding for our Guide By Your Side program has recently been reduced by 43% due to a lack of a federal budget.  Your support will help us reach our auction goal allowing us to supplement the Guide By Your Side program but also provide scholarships, memberships and free family events.  So, please give freely, bid generously and know how much every penny is appreciated!
