Come raise a glass and some funds to fight illiteracy in Colorado and around the world. 

From government officials to stars in the entertainment industry, our annual Novel Gala gathers over 200 leaders in philanthropy, literature, and education.

As a 95% privately funded nonprofit, our gala raises vital funds to support our many education and literacy programs across the globe. 

As part of our nonprofit mission to nurture and support the next generation of great writers, Tethered by Letters focuses our efforts in Colorado. Although we maintain an international presence, we are passionate about bolstering our local communities through programs like our Graphic Memor Curriculum in the Denver Women's Correctional Facility, which guides incarcerated women through the process of narrating an event in their lives. At the end of a twelve-week period, we will compile the strongest stories into an illustrated anthology, to be published and distributed in December of 2017. Additionally, Tethered by Letters lectures in high schools and universities around the state, providing young people with necessary knowledge to pursue fruitful careers in various creative industries. 

All proceeds from the evening will directly support these—and many other—education and community programs. We look forward to seeing you there!
