Pre-Event Online Auction

Archaeologists find the keys to understanding our human past. They work tirelessly to excavate sites, advocate for their preservation, and educate the world about our shared cultural heritage.  This is a mission that needs your help. Thank you for visiting our online auction!  We invite you raise your virtual paddles for a very worthy cause.  Your bid supports the 136 year old mission of the AIA. It is your contribution to sustaining and creating new funds for research, excavation, and preservation of sites; to send students to their first field schools; and to provide teachers with the tools they need to bring the human past alive in the classroom.  On behalf of our members, board of trustees, and staff we thank you for participating.  

There are many ways to support the AIA's largest fundraiser of the year!  You can purchase tickets to attend the event on April 21 in Manhattan by visiting http://gala.archaeological.org/donate  and bid on auction items that evening. For those who cannot attend you can still support the cause by participating in the pre-event online auction. The way it works:

Each item has a "reserve price" and a "buy now" price.  If the reserve price is not met online then the item will be featured at the Benefit Evening in either the live or silent auction.  Guests at the event will be able to bid on those items in person.  If the reserve price is met by an online bidder then the item will be sold to that person and will not be featured at the event.  Please note that there is also a "buy now" price, which will allow you to buy the item instantly and ensure that you do not get outbid by another supporter.  Peruse the offerings on the next page, bid often, have fun, and feel good about your donation!
