Welcome and thank you for supporting our first ever online Christmas auction event. All proceeds from this online auction will assist families in need with a Christmas they might not otherwise have. Whether its a food hamper or making sure children don't wake up on Christmas morning with nothing under the tree.
The Lethbridge Fire Fighter Charities is excited to host its first-ever Christmas Online
Auction. LFD Charities is a not for profit organization run by members of the Lethbridge Fire Department Local 237, working to support local and worthwhile charities. We rely on donations collected through fundraising events and the generous support of the community. This new event was inspired by the many fundraisers that were postponed or cancelled due to COVID-19, such as our Muscular Dystrophy Rooftop Campout and Calendar Night.
Our mission is to raise the much-needed funds to continue our Christmas charity
traditions. To ensure all members of our community have a happy holiday, Lethbridge Fire Fighters Charities has worked with the YWCA and Salvation Army to sponsor families most in need with gift baskets of grocery cards, presents, toys. As well, LFD has donated funds to the Victoria Park High School Christmas food hamper program. This initiative supports students and their families during the holiday season to have a special meal. Our third Christmas tradition is Blankets for Seniors. Charity members purchase, wrap and deliver cozy blankets with personalized cards to senior facilities within the city. Previous years have included St. Michael’s Health Centre, Golden Acres Lodge and Alberta Rose Lodge.
We are so happy you've chosen to check out our Silent Auction this year! It's full of all sorts of goodies so check out all the fun items. With the holidays just around the corner, we hope you will be able to find something for yourself or others on your list while supporting a good cause!
Thank you for your support!
