– KMVT 15, Silicon Valley Community Media, “Connecting Community through Media”, is joining LinkedIn, the world’s largest professional network on the Internet, to co-host Playing for Change, a fundraising event geared towards raising awareness of media and music.

            KMVT 15, an award-winning community television station, has offered services and training to more than 2000 youth through various media programs during the last 10 years.  The nonprofit's mission is to provide media literacy education, hands-on training and civic engagement. It serves as a resource to narrow the digital divide through the use of technology, and it provides the community with the tools to create media and utilize technology in a socially responsible manner.

            Playing For Change is a multimedia movement created to inspire, connect, and bring peace to the world through music. The Playing For Change Foundation (PFCF) was established in 2007 and is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Their mission is to create positive change through music and arts education. They support music schools and programs that are created and operated by the local community, and then purposefully connect those communities around the world.
