 This is an online event runs from Monday, November 17, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. until Cyber Monday, December 1, 2014 at EST 9:00 p.m (CST 8:00 p.m.)  Click on the link to guide yourself to the auction page, and you are only a few clicks away from signing up. This live online auction features rare cultural items from Ghana and Nicaragua as well as local artwork from Cedar Valley artists. Items include Nicaraguan pottery, Ghanaian masks, a tribal print tablecloth runner, paintings by Janice Meister, Michael Jordan biography, and Ghanaian Women’s Dress. A purchase of $50 will allow one woman to start her own social business through micro-loans. A $75 purchase will provide a training session for one woman in how to make jams, jellies, and marmalades. The funds raised through this auction will help alleviate hunger by enabling and empowering women with the skills and capital they need to escape the cycle of poverty.
