Marji Greenhut

is a sculptress. Working from live models since the age of 16, she is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design and obtained her Masters from Pratt Institute. Ms. Greenhut moved from Westbeth Artists Housing in NYC to live in rural Maine in the passive solar house
she designed and built. Her
studio in Brunswick, Maine at Fort Andross is a gathering place for people who want to work from a model and for artist activists. Ms. Greenhut's sculpture is usually nudes which she starts with wheel-thrown forms, can work on a piece for months before firing in a reduction kiln. Her work has been in many exhibitions in New York and Maine. As a survivor of endometrial cancer, donating is an honor.
