Description

21" x 15"

Sean Meadows is a musician and painter living with his wife Diana and two sons Loukas and Theou next to Lake Lookout, Tennessee. From 2005 until 2010 he painted thousands of squares and cubes. "I never saw a Hans Hoffman painting until 2012 and when I did I was stopped in my tracks."

The title to this piece, Mazurca Choro comes from an early 20th Century Brazilian guitar composition by Heitor Villa Lobos. The Mazurca is a classical Polish dance using 3/8 or 3/4 beat. This piece is a visual attempt at a Mazurca using patterns of color against patterns of color.
