The online bidding has now closed in order to move to paper bidding in the church on both 7 and 14 April.

The high bids online will be put on the paper bidding sheets as the opening bids in the church.   The paper bidding will start very soon after the morning services (hopefully around 11:45) and continue for about an hour.  So, anyone arriving around noon will have about 30 minutes to join in the bidding.

This silent auction is an annual fundraiser for the First Unitarian Congregation of Ottawa.  After a month online (from March 3rd to April 3rd), the auction will move to a silent auction on paper bidding sheets in the church after the Sunday morning services on April 7th and 14th.

Most of the items are donations of time and talents from folks within the congregation.  We also receive donations from local businesses and organizations for us to auction.

We have again added larger ticket items from Winspire which we hope will interest not only our members, but many people outside our immediate church community.  Please peruse the items in the category, "Travel" which include special trips to Ireland, Italy, New Orleans, San Diego, and New Orleans, and other unique packages.  Full details are available through the links given in the individual item descriptions here on BiddingOwl.

TIP:  The search function is very useful.  Simply put any term in the search box to get quickly to items that interest you.  Particularly useful is to enter "new item" which will list items that have been entered recently.  This will allow you to skip over the many items you've already seen.

However, please note that the search box will always use the last term you put in - even if you delete it in the box.  To get back to seeing everything, you have to run the search with a blank search box.

To get started with browsing, click on the green "View Items" button and choose a single category or "All Items".  You can always go to this button to choose a new category.
