St. Jude Catholic Church in Sarasota serves a bilingual community through its services and programs which are supported by fund raisers like our annual Gala Event and Auction at the Michael's on East Ballroom. The theme of this, our 11th Gala Event, is Circus With A Purpose, A Benefit For St. Jude Church.

This auction allows the St. Jude Program for the Needy to provide food items for over 40 families per week and, with adequate funds, we also provide qualified applicants with assistance in paying for necessities like rent, utilities, and more. This year we have chosen to place the Silent Auction online in order to streamline the payment process and make our exciting auction items available to a broader audience.

Our Program for the Needy increases greatly around Thanksgiving and Christmas. Last Thanksgiving, 320 families received turkeys and, at Christmas time, 630 families were given the makings for Christmas dinner and over 1,200 children received 3 gifts apiece.
