The Vassar Haiti Project (VHP) is a collaborative, 501(c)3 nonprofit that engages students in life-changing education about global citizenship by promoting Haitian art and fostering sustainable development in Haiti. We organize art auctions and sales, which support the welfare of hundreds of Haitian artists and fund various initiatives in the mountain village of Chermaitre, Haiti.

Participating in this auction is simple.

Just follow these 4 steps:

First:  Log in or register as a Bidder
 

 

Tip: During registration, please be sure to select "Receive Email or Text Notification When Out-Bid" to ensure you're notified when you've been outbid!
Second:   View our selection of Haitian Art Pieces
 
  • Click here to view items.
    • Alternatively, click on the green button (View All Items) at the top left of this page.

  • Click on any item to view its bidding specifics. Click item image to view it in more detail.
Third:  Place Bids on your Favorite Item(s)
 
  • Select your favorite item(s)
  • Place your bid by submitting an amount in the Bidding Price Box.
  • *Please note the minimum bid increments
    • Tip: If you enter your maximum bid for the item, it will enable us to automatically enter incremental bids on your behalf.

  • Want to bypass the bidding process?
    • Click: "Buy Now!
    • Note: To ensure timely shipping, please submit payment within 24 hrsof "Buying it Now".
    • Go to "My Account" at the top right corner of this page, and click on "My Bids" to Checkout.
Finally:  Checkout
 
  • Checkout happens when the auction is over All bidding will close at midnight PST, Monday Oct. 3rd 2022.
  • If you are successful in winning an item, a confirmation invoice will be emailed to you.
  • $10 nominal shipping fee will be added and NYS tax of 8.13% to each item won.
  • Follow the link in the email and click the CHECKOUT button to pay for winning items.
  • All major credit cards and PayPal accepted.
  • This must be completed by Oct 7th.
  • You are financially responsible for your top winning bids.

Part of the proceeds of this sale will support asset-based community development projects in rural Haiti in the arts, health, and environment including the building of an art school and gallery.
