The mission of The Long Dog Retreat is to rescue , transport and re-home dachshunds and to provide long term care for doxies that cannot be adopted. Our mission also includes educating and offering the community resources that will enable them to keep their pets.

We specialize in senior and special needs doxie/doxie mixes and this often means our vetting costs are higher than average. Monies received from our auctions goes to help pay for the medical, dental and emotional needs of our fosters.
