The Mascoma Cooperative Preschool was created with the belief that a child's sense of self, curiosity, and creativity benefit from positive learning experiences. An atmosphere of trust, encouragement, and praise allow students to explore their individual interests and abilities while developing social skills and building self-esteem. Learning takes place in a highly interactive environment with attention given to student's individual learning styles and development levels. The Cooperative allows students to benefit additionally by having family members share in their experiences and celebrate their growth throughout the year.
Support by people like you helps MCP offer more opportunities in the classroom and allows additional services for all children. Being in a classroom environment, listening to a teacher, and socializing with children their own age can only help our students in the transition from preschool to kindergarten. As a cooperative preschool, we strongly encourage families to participate in their children’s education, which helps create foundations for future success in academics.
Parents are encouraged to participate in various ways throughout the year. Parents serve as helpers in the classroom on a rotating volunteer basis. Participation gives each family the opportunity to develop a closer relationship with the school and their child.
Thank you for your support!
