Players Against Hate

Play for a Purpose Charity Auction

On July 8 at 3:00 PM, a charity hockey event will be taking place at The Gardens Ice House in Laurel, MD, to raise money for Players Against Hate.  The game will feature a hockey game featuring local celebrities and local hockey coaches.

There will be a pre-game acoustic performance by Chris "#2" Barker of the band Anti-Flag.

Players Against Hate is determined to increase awareness and stop racism and name-calling by youth athletes, their teams and coaches, their families, and spectators.

The goals of Players Against Hate are to:

  1. Develop educational materials against hate to be used to teach players, coaches, officials, sports organizations, and spectators that hate has no place on the bench, in the game, or in the stands.
  2. Sponsor scholarships with monies raised by Players Against Hate to support athletes of color who want to play sports that have traditionally been less diverse.
  3. Grow the movement beyond hockey to other youth sports where hate impacts the athletes.

Tickets are available at PAHCharityGame.com
