Lumpkin Family Connection is a 501(c)(3) with over a 20 year history in Lumpkin County. We are one of 159 community-networking groups known as Georgia Family Connection Partnership. LC Family Connection is responsible for convening community partners to address concerns and issues regarding the well being of families and children within our county. We use a strategic approach to encircle families with resources and supports to help strengthen and provide stability to promote child safety and well being Our two goals are: All children in Lumpkin County will be free of abuse and neglect and all children in Lumpkin County will succeed in school.

 

LC Family Connection has offices in the schools and oversees a Backpack Buddies Program, Mentoring Program, and Family Advocacy Program. One of our newest partnerships with the school system is the Student Outreach Center. The center is located at the middle school and offers families access to hygiene items, food, school supplies, clothing and parent education.

 

Our Mission: To build and maintain a comprehensive community network that can assist families in finding and accessing resources to keep their children safe and successful in school and in life.

Our Vision: All Lumpkin County Families will be self-sufficient, capable, and productive. Parents will provide safe, nurturing environments for their children.

Our current goals include:
1. All children in Lumpkin County will be free of abuse and neglect.
2. All children in Lumpkin County will have an equal opportunity to succeed in school.
