More About The Employee Relief Fund:
With the outbreak of COVID-19 Dock's Oyster House, Knife & Fork Inn, Harry's Oyster Bar and Linwood Country Club, along with all restaurants across the state, have had to close their doors to the dining public. And by suspending operations, over 300 of our full-time and part-time employees are out of work. We are now offering a limited take-out menu from Dock’s, Knife & Fork, and Linwood Country Club, but even with this we are able to bring back only a small fraction of our employees.
When restrictions are lifted and in-house dining is permitted once again, it will likely be in a severely limited capacity. In addition, restrictions on large gatherings will continue to impact private events such as weddings and bar/bat mitzvahs. As such, we must recognize that our businesses, even when reopened, will not be operating at our normal capacity for an extended period of time. Our employees, once returned to work, will not be making the same income they have come to rely on in previous years. Many of them will experience financial hardship long after we re-open our doors.
We organized this online silent auction to help support our employees of Dock's Oyster House, Knife & Fork Inn, Harry's Oyster Bar and Linwood Country Club. We are donating each of the unique experiences so that 100% of funds raised can be used for employee assistance. It is our hope that the proceeds from this fundraiser can help alleviate some of the stress and anxiety that COVID-19 has caused our employees and their families.
We know that everyone is affected by this unprecedented tragedy, and we are looking forward to reuniting with you as soon as we are able to do so safely!
