This is the time of year when your Community Connection team would be reaching out to you to ask for prom dresses and accessories for our CIS Northside High School seniors as well as for contributions for caps and gowns for the graduates.  Sadly this year’s senior class will be missing both of these beautiful rites of passage and won’t have those experiences to look back upon and cherish.   If you think about it, the class of 2020 has had to endure Harvey, the Santa Fe school shooting and now a pandemic that has changed their lives forever. 

While we cannot change that, we can bring them some graduation cheer and hopefully the means for them to get a special treat for themselves.  Our liaison has also identified two students whose family situation is such during these most trying of times that we hope to collect enough to make their lives a little better.  

Rather than just ask for your contributions (which of course are welcome), we are holding an online auction with the goal of collecting $3,000 to purchase gift cards for these CIS students.  Hopefully you have a nice piggy bank filled with all that unused Starbuck’s cash.
