Where is my mask? Why can’t I see my friends? Do I really have to wash my hands again? This year has definitely been a learning experience for all of us!
AIM allows our AIMers to live “normal” lives, even during a pandemic. Several AIMers have remained on the job throughout the pandemic working at essential, front-line businesses like grocery stores, while others were laid off or furloughed. AIMers, just like everyone else, have experienced feelings of loneliness, sadness and anxiety from our changed everyday world. Providing a source of light during these times has been our Virtual Monday Group meetings and knowing that a friend is just a text, phone call or Facetime call away.
Even during a pandemic, AIM has allowed our young adults who have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities to experience more independence than their families had ever thought possible. Because of AIM, their parents get to experience the peace of mind that comes from providing their son or daughter the right blend of support and independence.
AIM provides the following supports primarily funded by the Tutus and Ties Fun Run:
Your support of our auction will help us make independence possible for the adults with disabilities whom we serve!
Thank you for your support!
