I know we all want 2020 to be over with as fast as possible! So maybe we are rushing the holidays. And a favorite Morongo Basin holiday tradition is the annual Festival of Wreaths at Copper Mountain College. Of course this annual auction will look different this year but it can still be great fun all while raising money for our students, programs and needs at CMC. We have asked local businesses to participate by making a wreath (centerpiece, tree, gift basket) and DISPLAYING IT AT THEIR LOCATION between November 9 – 29, 2020.
We've taken pictures and have listed the items here for bidding. Anyone can bid online for the wreaths; bidding closes at 4 pm PST on Sunday, November 29, 2020. We will connect the winning bidder with the business and the winner will have the following week to come in and pick up their item.
Your support helps Copper Mountain College students with books, technology, upgraded labs and facilities. We use these donations for the Hunger Free Campus program, KC Special, to give free bus rides on MBTA to school and to keep our childcare center open adjacent to the campus.
School looks different this year, but the needs are still there. And the opportunity to help a college student is greater than ever. We hope you will play along. There is no “rules” so businesses have been very creative. Be sure to check out our blog, https://cmcfow.wordpress.com/ for some great backstories, past events and holiday cheer!
