How to Bid:

  2. Then, go to your email, open the activation email and click the link to activate your account.
  3. Finally, return to this page and start bidding by scrolling through all the items (click on green menu bar in the left-hand corner!).

100% of the auction proceeds go directly to CILA programming; including the Pathway to Law Program, legal education, and more.

SALES TAX: California sales tax of 7.750% will be collected on the final purchase price of every item. If applicable, please contact us with your tax exempt form BEFORE the auction ends.

PAYMENT: Accepted forms of payment include PayPal or Check made payable to California Indian Law Association. It is highly recommended that you pay online through the PayPal link included in your winning bid information on your account. 

SHIPPING: Shipping is required for all items; CILA will not offer pick-up. Shipping costs can be combined and may be less than quoted. Important: the Bidder is responsible for all bids placed, regardless of shipping availability or cost. Please bid wisely.

BIDDING ERRORS: Please be aware that many bidders participating in online auctions routinely increase their own bid to price an item out of reach of other bidders. You should carefully review your bids BEFORE submitting - bidders are fully responsible for any bids placed on their account. If you mistakenly increase your own bid or make a gross error you must immediately contact calindianlaw.org. We will not reverse bids that have caused another bidder to be outbid. If you bid on the wrong item we will not reverse your bid - so please make sure that you review all bids before submitting. We will not reverse bids after the auction closes.

WINNING BIDDER NOTIFICATION: You will be contacted by email or text if you have won an item, but sometimes emails go astray (spam filters, typos, etc.). You, the Bidder, are responsible for checking your account on this website at auction close to verify your purchases. If you feel you have won an item and have not received an email, please check your account on this website. If there is still a problem, you must notify us no later than 10am on Sunday, October 18.

ABOUT CILA: The California Indian Law Association ("CILA") was formed with the purpose of serving as the representative of the Indian law legal profession in California. CILA is dedicated to enhancing the legal profession and tribal justice systems in California by promoting professional growth, high standards of professional competence and ethical conduct. CILA seeks to provide quality educational programs to Indian law practitioners, tribal justice personnel, law students and the public. The organization also works to promote the study of Indian law and related topics in public and higher education and to provide guidance and assistance, through mentoring, scholarships and other activities, to Native American students in their pursuit of law studies and the legal profession.
