27 years ago, UCC Churches across St. Louis raised the funds and volunteered to build our first Habitat House!

Habitat for Humanity partners with people in the St. Louis community, and all over the world, to help build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. With your support, Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability, and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and for their families.

More than 20 United Church of Christ (UCC) churches responded to an invitation from Pastor Duane Meyer of St. Peter’s UCC to work together, raise the funds, and build in the summer of 1995. We have been building together ever since. Together, we have worked on over 30 houses and raised over $800,000!

Once again we are accepting the challenge to raise money to help build affordable housing. Last year's $2000 challenge has turned into a $4000 challenge as 4 other families have joined in to match money raised in the auction! Your purchase or donation will double in value as you outbid your neighbor, friend or habitat supporter. Let's have fun and make these habitat supporters squirm!
