Since 1954, the mission of the Oregon Mortgage Bankers Association has been “To actively stay involved with industry related legislative matters and assist legislators, policy makers and thought leaders in understanding the needs and problems confronting the real estate finance industry today.”

The funds raised by this auction are to benefit the Mortgage Industry for Responsible Government (MIRG).  MIRG is a political action committee formed by Mortgage Bankers Association members for the purpose of pooling their money to support candidates for election to the Oregon Legislature and other offices.  Membership consists of people who contribute to MIRG and includes OMBA members, spouses, family, employees, friends, and other industry professionals.  MIRG has an annual meeting of its members in conjunction with the OMBA Annual Meeting and at that time elects a board of directors in accordance with the bylaws of MIRG.

As the proceeds of this auction will benefit MIRG, a political action committee, all winning bidders’ information will be submitted in adherence with Oregon rules and regulations.
