The Dreamkeeper Student Assistance Fund
The Northwood Technical College Foundation provides small emergency assistance grants to students who are experiencing an unexpected setback or event that has caused a financial emergency. These grants support students at Northwood Tech-Superior on their quest for a college degree and a better life.
They are usually less than $250, and provided to cover unexpected expenses, like vehicle repairs; loss due to tragedy such as fire, theft, or accident; help with groceries, or simply a $25 gas card when times are tight.

Beginning in 2012, Superior Rotary committed its support to this fund at Northwood Tech (formerly WITC) in order to help its students on their quest for a college degree and a better life.

The Northwest Wisconsin Community Services Agency

The Northwest Community Services Agency (NW CSA) serves more than 85,000 residents in five counties of Wisconsin, including: Ashland, Bayfield, Douglas, Iron and Price county residents.

NW CSA services include: Food pantries in each county and many other critical programs for disadvantaged neighbors, including: small emergency assistance, housing stability, homeless programs and services, emergency financial assistance, a rehabilitation “rental” program, and a free store. NW CSA also administers the Wisconsin Judicare and Earned Income Tax Credit Program in these same five counties. The Tower Avenue facility in Superior is also home to the Retired Senior Volunteer organization, which serves adults who are giving back to primarily the Douglas County community. NW CSA will earmark the funds raised from our auction toward re-establishing its Sharing Fund, one-time low-dollar assistance in crises for people in poverty.
