St. Landry-Evangeline United Way - Women With Heart Auction
The Power of the Purse!
The theme for this year's Power of the Purse auction is "Women Who Did It First!" The purses are named for a woman who did it first, and in some of the purses, the winner will be surprised to find a $100 gift card! So go bid for a cause!
- Register as a bidder
- Starting bids are set, and each must be increased by $5 increments.
- You can set up your maximum bid on an item, and your bids will automatically be placed for you at $5 increments until your maximum is reached. You can always change your set maximum or override it.
- You will be sent a text message each time someone bids against you. You can quickly go to the site on your phone to place another bid.
- The auction will close on May 22, and winners will be notified via email. If you have not paid for your item through online payment, you can pay when you pick up your purse.
- Purses not picked up by May 31 will be forfeited.
Women United is an affinity group of St. Landry-Evangeline United Way that harnesses the powerful voices of women in our community to create change for the good.
Our focus in on women and children's issues; on empowering women to impact their communities in positive ways -- through advocating for early childhood learning and literacy, supporting strong anti-domestic violence policies and legislation, and creating opportunities for women to make a difference.
The Power of the Purse auction supports the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, a program that provides free, age-appropriate books to children age 0-5, as well as supporting programs and projects that address women and childrens' issues.
