A Charity Auction Event

Welcome and thank you for supporting the 10^th annual Dare to Dream Gala! We hope you may find it in your heart to be generous as we pursue our goals to do even more for the Spina Bifida community of New York State. All funds raised support the programs and services of SBANYS benefitting individuals and families living with Spina Bifida.

This year, we will be hosting a hybrid event, combining an in-person gala with virtual participation opportunities. Our live gala event will take place on Saturday, Nov 19, 2022 at 6:00 pm (click here for details).

There will be two kinds of auction: a live version at the gala and a silent/online one. Baskets for both auctions are presented on this site but those reserved for the live auction are indicated as such and will not accept online bids.

For the live auction at the gala:

Items can be previewed on this site.
No online or early bids will be available for these items.
Live auction bidding will take place during our gala, Saturday, November 19, only. The live auction will close during the gala and winners will be announced there.
All gala guests, virtual and in-person, will be able to participate in bidding on the live auction items; virtual attendees will be provided access for this purpose.

For the silent/online auction:

Many of the offered baskets will be available for inspection at the in-person gala.
All bidding -- including during the live gala -- will be online, and only on this site.
The online auction will be open for bidding from Friday, Nov 4, at 9:00 am until Saturday, Nov 19 at 9pm.
"Buy it Now" options will be available only on the evening of the gala.
All gala guests, virtual and in-person, are encouraged to bid during the event. However, in-person attendees must use personal devices such as smartphones because no paper bidsheets will be available. Please plan accordingly!

You do not have to register to browse the auction catalog. However, you do need to register for the auction (and log in) in order to place a bid. Auction registration is separate from gala registration!

Our auctions offer an opportunity for early holiday shopping. Any amount that you bid over the retail value may be tax deductible.
