Welcome to Bid for the Birds!, a joint fundraising venture of two local bird-related nonprofit organizations: Godwit Days Spring Migration Bird Festival and Redwood Region Audubon Society (RRAS).

COVID has been challenging for 501c3 organizations that usually fundraise through in-person events. For instance, Godwit Days missed two years of silent auction and festival registration proceeds, while RRAS had to cancel its February 2021 banquet/silent auction event.

Over 230 items or groups of goodies are waiting for your bids. There are listings for every budget. While some items are worth hundreds of dollars, many others have an opening bid of just $20! The bidding for most items starts at around half their value, although more expensive items are often less than that percentage.

Please peruse our plethora of reasonably priced items -- including artwork, outdoor stuff, clothing, jewelry, books, housewares and home decor, services, and "experiences." Be sure and check out our "Baskets of Goodies" section. Help us continue our conservation education and outreach here in northwestern California while you acquire some awesome stuff!

Bidding opens on Friday, May 28 at 8 a.m. and runs through Sunday, June 6 at 6 p.m. Item pickup in Arcata will be June 11-13 (although you can make special arrangements to have things shipped at your expense).
