Based in Colchester County, Nova Scotia, it is the CWRC's mission to provide veterinary care and rehabilitation to sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife, and to return them to a suitable environment.

The CWRC began thirty years ago in St. John's, Newfoundland, where our co-founders' shared apartment became a beacon of hope for wild animals otherwaise destined for euthanasia. The CWRC was officially registered as a charity in 2001, and since then we have continued to steadily grow and expand our operations. We now care for hundreds of animals each year and proudly give them a second chance at life.
