Habitat for Humanity Metro Denver Auction

Thank you for supporting Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver and being a Habitat dream-builder. This online auction begins on Sun., Sept. 17 at 8:00 AM and ends on Sun., Oct. 8 at 8:00 PM. Notice the date has been extended by one week!

In addition to the auction, you may donate money to the fundraiser by making your checks payable to WPUMC with Habitat on the memo line. You may also send money through the Venmo app to our church treasurer, Michelle Hoskins, at michelle-hoskins-17. Please indicate that your Venmo donation is for Habitat as well.

Get a night away and know that your kids are with some of the best darn babysitters in town, Sandi Dillon and Katie Daugherty! The cost is $50 per child or $100 for a family up to 4 children. All ages are welcome. The maximum number for this special evening will be 20 children. Katie and Sandi will play games, provide dinner, and wind down with a movie at the end of the night. What a special treat!! Reserve your spot or spots right away! Purchasers must be part of the WPUMC community.

NEW PRICE REDUCTION: Join Nancy Leonard and Gretchen Olson for a wine-paired graze or charcuterie board workshop on Tuesday, October 24th at 7 PM at Nancy’s home. (If you purchase all 7 available tickets, they'll work with you on a date that works for your group.) We’ll enjoy wine and charcuterie treats while Gretchen provides a tutorial on making the perfect graze board for any occasion. This will be a hands-on learning experience and you’ll have the opportunity to take home your very own creation. There are 7 spots available. You may bid on an individual spot, multiple spots, or all 7 for your own personalized event. Nancy’s home is not far from church and directions will be provided to the winning bidder(s). Bidders must be part of the WPUMC congregation. If you purchase more than one spot, you’re welcome to invite people outside of our community to join in the fun! The retail price for this event is $100 per person.

Here is some additional information about Habitat for Humanity on Metro Denver:

Since 2005, Washington Park United Methodist Church (WPUMC) has partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver. With a coalition of other churches, WPUMC raises money and provides volunteers to help Habitat build a home for a deserving family each year. Habitat homes are not given to homeowners; instead, homeowners help build their homes with volunteers and Habitat staff and then pay an affordable mortgage.

To help Habitat continue their work in helping homeowners purchase a safe, affordable and healthy home, WPUMC will hold an online auction. The profits** from this auction will go directly to building a home.

For your information:

  • **To pay for the online auction, 5% of the auction revenue will be used. 
  • The highest bidder is expected to pay for the item for the price that was last bid. Once the auction concludes, you will be notified by Bidding Owl if you have the highest bid. To make a payment, you will enter your credit card at checkout. You do not need a PayPal account to pay for aution items.
  • Auction items will not be mailed or shipped to the highest bidder. Arrangements for item pick-up will be made by the highest bidder and Carol Nelson.
  • For some of our items, bidding is only allowed for supporters that are associated with our organization. We reserve the right to delete bids from supporters that are not part of our community.
