National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Auction

In support of Indigenous Seneca student financial aid

"Education got us into this mess and education will get us out."
-Murray Sinclair, Chief Commissioner, Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada

Since 2013, September 30 has been observed as Orange Shirt Day, a day to recognize the history and legacies of the residential school system in Canada. Orange Shirt Day originates from the story of residential school survivor Phyllis Webstad, who at six was stripped of her new orange shirt on her first day attending the St. Joseph Mission Residential School near Williams Lake, B.C.

Together with the First Peoples@Seneca Office and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committees at Seneca, there will be many opportunities to support Indigenous communities to come. By supporting Indigenous students financial aid, you will help to ensure that Indigenous students have access to the education, along with support that can help them achieve their dreams and build a better future for themselves, their families and their communities. Thank you for supporting this event.

**Please note that in order to keep this virtual event organized, bidding is only allowed for supporters that are associated with Seneca. We reserve the right to delete bids from supporters that are not part of our community.
