The Small Things is a small non-profit organization working to support orphaned and vulnerable children in Tanzania. We are focused on building and supporting happy families, in all their various shapes and forms. We consider the whole child, and the whole community, because they are inescapably linked. We believe in creating participatory and evolving care plans, not stopgap solutions, for children and families in crisis.

Thanks to the proceeds from last year's auction, in addition to the generous support of Shazi Visram and the Happy Family brand, our Happy Family Children's Village, a children's village providing family-style housing to orphaned Tanzanian children, will be opening its doors in May. However, four walls alone are not enough - we hope that our Spread the Love auction in April will raise the funds needed to turn these houses into homes. Proceeds will go toward buying all the necessities: furniture, mosquito nets, toys and games, sports equipment, and more - which will allow more orphaned children to live and thrive in a family-style home.
