NHS Pella High Football Jersey Auction

Homecoming 2016

During the week of Homecoming the Pella High chapter of National Honor Society will once again be auctioning off the white varsity football jerseys as a fundraiser. Students, parents, and community members will have the opportunity to wear their favorite Pella High football jersey the Friday of Homecoming before returning the jerseys the following Monday. The fundraiser is being used to accomplish three goals:

  1. Cover the annual chapter fee for National Honor Society
  2. Contribute to a local charity 
  3. Offer an opportunity to further involve the community in Homecoming activities

Bidding will open Monday, September 26 at 8:00 AM and close Thursday, September 29 at 2:00 PM. Winning bidders will be able to pick up their jersey at the high school on Thursday between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM, or Friday between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Jerseys will need to be returned to the high school by 3:00 PM Monday, October 3.  All winning bidders will be required to sign a Replacement Agreement when the jersey is picked up. 

Payment will only be accepted through the BiddingOwl.com auction site. This requires a PayPal account.

Two of the purposes of National Honor Society are “to stimulate a desire to render service . . . and to develop character in the students of secondary schools.”  With this in mind, our NHS chapter, along with the Pella High football program, has committed to donating a portion of the proceeds from the auction to The Well Resource Center, which offers help and hope to people of Marion County that are struggling with shortages.

We hope this is a fun and meaningful experience for our students, parents, and the community.
