ABOUT BARKITECTURE HOUSTON

Barkitecture Houston celebrates the ingenuity and creativity of the Houston community while raising much needed funds for Pup Squad Animal Rescue. Local designers, architects, artists, companies and other groups design and build amazing dog houses. These houses are then donated to Barkitecture Houston where they are auctioned off to benefit Pup Squad. Barkitecture weekended started Friday night with Yappy Hour and featured live music and honor two local Houston animal heroes, Bruce Padilla and Shelby Kibodeaux.

Unfortunately, the Barkitecture Houston festival was cancelled due to the weather.  Please be sure to mark your calendars for Barkitecture Houston 2016 and come down to GreenStreet to join in all the fun.

ABOUT PUP SQUAD

Pup Squad Animal Rescue was founded in October of 2008 by four former BARC volunteers. Our mission is to rescue pregnant mommas, nursing litters and orphaned puppies and match them with permanent adoptive homes. Pup Squad is also committed to providing support and education to adopters and the community at large. We work with local shelters and other community rescue efforts to promote spay/ neuter, adoption and humane animal care to ultimately reduce the number of animals euthanized in Houston and surrounding areas. Since 2008, Pup Squad has rescued over 3,800 dogs and placed them into loving homes. Pup Squad is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation and is run exclusively by volunteers.
