In 2021, 1,414 dogs passed through the Stark County Sheriff Dog Warden Department doors. Most of them needed to be spayed or neutered, and many needed care for illness or injury. Friends of Stark Pound, an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity, raises approximately $55,000 a year to purchase medical and surgical supplies needed to provide care through the veterinary department at the Stark County Sheriff Dog Warden Department.
All of the funds raised in the Friends of Stark Pound Ninth Annual Silent Auction help fund the canine medical program for sick and injured homeless dogs who come to the Stark County Sheriff Dog Warden Department shelter. This treatment relieves suffering and prevents the spread of illness at the shelter. By making a dog healthier, we greatly improve his/her chances of being adopted by a loving family. Best of all, when a dog goes to its forever home, he/she goes spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm tested. The donations we receive make all this happen.
Friends of Stark Pound also educates the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets which is why we are making a difference in Stark County! The Silent Auction is one of two major fundraisers we host every year. If you don't see something you like and still want to help, there is a donate button on our homepage.
Friends of Stark Pound hopes you find it in your heart to be generous. There is a small processing fee charged to the winning bid, this will help us with the costs associated with the Silent Auction. We're deeply grateful for your kindness and generosity!
