Sally Young is a mixed-media Painter/ Constructivist/Photographer living in the East Village for 36 years. After beginning in TriBecA , influenced by the abandoned West Side Highway/Twin Towers’ landfill; “the beach” she arrived to the Bowery, then East Village/LES. Curiosity of buildings, their landscape, and history became part of her life. Sally paints, photographs, and researches buildings and the people who lived in them, combines all of this into paintings, photographs, mixed-media collages, constructions, and research papers that enlighten the truth revealed and how all of this juxtaposes each other and at the same time connects.
