Sylvia de Swaan is an actively engaged artist/photographer who works on long-term personal projects that deal with identity and personal history. She was the Executive director of Sculpture Space 1979-1995 and has taught photography at Hamilton College from 1998-2008. She is a recipient of many grants and fellowship, most recently a 2016 NYFA in photography (her fourth.)
