Sarah Schulman is an American novelist, playwright and lesbian rights activist and a Distinguished Professor of the Humanities at College of Staten Island (CSI) and a Fellow at the New York Institute for the Humanities.
Her new novel The Cosmopolitans, set in Greenwich Village in 1958, was published by The Feminist Press in March, 2016 to rave reviews. Kirkus, in a starred review, called it "A Modern Classic."
Her new nonfiction book "Conflict Is Not Abuse: Overstating Harm, Community Responsibility and the Duty of Repair" is forthcoming from Arsenal Pulp Press in October, 2016.
