This watercolor painting of Katahadin by Evelyn Dunphy is 22" x 30” unframed.
This is one of three paintings that Evelyn did for an Australian art video company that came to her studio last September. The video has been shown in 35 countries and on TV channels and Youtube videos around the world. In Evelyn's words, "I gave a lot of thought to what I should paint on that video. My first and final thought was Katahdin as really, everything began with Katahdin and is still going on."
Evelyn said, "I am aware that I owe a great deal to Katahdin, NRCM, and the conservation world in Maine. Supporting wilderness places has been the focus of my work since my first year as a painter, so it’s great to be able to use my work to continue this pursuit."
Evelyn Dunphy is known internationally as a Maine-based watercolor artist who travels and paints all over the world.
