Separately published between 1948 and 1958 in uniform red bindings in the series “Macdonald Illustrated Classics.” Remarkably clean and crisp with Gough’s whimsical [Darcy wears pink!] color illustrations throughout each volume. Northanger Abbey and Persuasion, which were published in the same manner as late as 1961, are not present [see Gilson E325 and E327].

4. Sense & Sensibility, with Lady Susan and The Watsons (1958) [Gilson E285]. In the rare original cellophane dust wrapper. Ownership signature: “Gordon W. Dennis.”
