Chad Mize is a multimedia artist, designer and muralist residing in St. Petersburg. With a love for past and contemporary culture, he takes a humorous, tongue-in-cheek approach to his designs, which include playful doodles, colorful patterns, political art and graphics with text.

His contributions to the thriving St. Petersburg art scene include working on the SHINE Mural Festival, which brings artists from around the world to paint murals in St. Petersburg, and his iconic “Paris – London – Tokyo – St Pete” graphic. Mize’s work is held in numerous private and corporate collections nationally and internationally.

International Transgender Day of Visibility is an annual event occurring on March 31 dedicated to celebrating transgender people and raising awareness of discrimination faced by transgender people worldwide, as well as a celebration of their contributions to society.

Here in St. Petersburg, we are asking 10 local artists to paint on 3’x5’ polyester trans pride flags. Flags will be displayed at 10 businesses on Central Ave for the month of March. The intention is to create dialogue and visibility around transgender people & their accomplishments. At the end of the month, flags will be auctioned off and proceeds will go towards Transgender Programs offered by Metro Inclusive Health and Trans Support Network (TSN).

All winning bids must be picked up at Metro Inclusive Health by April 15, 2020.
