Bid to be participant #6 out of 6 learners: If you are a writer, teacher, librarian, student, or lover of literature, you will want a place on the Zoom screen with multi-award-winning author Kathryn Lasky. Learn how Lasky chooses her topics, constructs her multi-volume plot lines, does her research and goes about writing a work of fiction or non-fiction for young adult and children’s audiences. Lasky has written over 100 works that include Wolves of the Beyond, Night Witches, the perennially popular Guardians of Ga’hoole series (made into the 2011 movie, Legend of the Ga’hoole). Lasky’s most recent series is Tangled in Time about a 21st century girl who time travels through Elizabethan England. Lasky is a Newbery Honor medalist and twice won the National Jewish book Award for Marven of The Great North Woods and The Night Journey.
Winning bidders can submit questions in advance for Lasky to answer. Not a writing workshop but a session in which to learn from a candid and witty master writer.
Zoom session to be scheduled in August in the early evening on a mutually agreeable date.
Session limited to 6 participants
