High Flow acrylics and ink on canvas
Artist: MAUREEN ANDREW
These are not “high fine art”, but they’re sort of fun. High flow acrylics and ink on canvas, each is 4”. They would go as a group. Maybe for someone who wants to bid but doesn’t have a lot of money! Inspired by the veggies at the farm, especially the chard! If you think they would be ok in the auction let me know. Maybe to hang as a group in someone’s kitchen!
Professionally, I have been a registered nurse for 36 years. Artistically I have been dabbling in arts and crafts since childhood and began sculpting with wool from our sheep here in Maine. After my short “career” as a shepherd, I discovered continuing education classes at MECA. These opportunities have enabled me to branch out and try new artistic media. My passion for the arts, however, is second to that of food security. In 2018 I was lucky to take the University of Maine Cooperative Extension’s Master Gardener Volunteer course and learn so much about growing nutritious food and getting it to people in need of whom there are so many in our communities. As a member of the Androscoggin Gleaners I have been able to work with the wonderful folks at Growing to Give and other local farms that offer fresh produce for us to pick and deliver to our clients. Thanks, Growing to Give!
If the winning bidder is unable to come to the farm for pickup, please contact us for delivery options. 207-837-4670
