The 7300-square foot facility features changing and permanent exhibits; interactive, family-friendly learning stations; and the largest collection of contemporary Iroquois art worldwide. Dance performances, storytelling, artist demonstrations, and special events. Gift shop offers fine hand-crafted Iroquois art, jewelry, pottery, prints, and sculpture purchased directly from the artists, as well as books and music CDs. In 2021 the Museum’s Main Gallery will feature Identity/Identify. This thought-provoking exhibit will present individual and collaborative artistic responses from across Iroquois country that speak to who is considered Haudenosaunee and what constitutes membership. Identity/Identify explores how these definitions and designations determine access to tribal and federal resources, rights, residency options, and other components of cultural and community participation.
