If he doesn't have what an artist needs he finds it or creates it. The Federal Bureau of Investigation, NYPD and FDNY utilize his ingredients and skill for crime-scene restorations, fake wounds, triage training and ballistics molds.

After a Metropolitan Opera set designer became enamored of an enormous rock in Central Park, Mr. Fields supplied the technical expertise to copy it onstage for “Jenufa.” When the set crew for the movie “Cold Mountain” needed “authentic” cobblestones made from rubber, he was consulted. The list goes on.
Marc Fields likes to say "you supply the talent, we'll supply the rest," but he's not lacking any talent.
