Marian Doherty studied painting and sculpture at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn.
She received her B.A. in Arts Administration from C.U.N.Y. and did an internship at A.I.R. Gallery in NYC. She also holds a M.S. Ed in Reading. Art was the focus of her teaching in Westchester, the South Bronx and Connecticut ; including Bee’s Gali in West Haven. She acted as hostess for the Salon of the Arts & Literature Laboratory (ALL Gallery). Her home and studio are in Milford, CT.


Marian’s work has been included in shows in Soho and the Lower East Side of Manhattan, California, and various venues in Connecticut . She was awarded the Blue Ribbon in the 1994 Milford Fine Arts Show.

Periodicals such as Elm City Newspapers, Art Business News and the City Wide Open Studios Guide featured her artwork.
