This gift certificate is for a one night stay at the historic Whitehaven Hotel. Stroll through “Room With A View”, the Hotel’s small shop filled with local treasures. Take a short ride on the three-car Whitehaven Ferry as it glides you across the Wicomico River that connects Wicomico and Somerset Counties. The Ferry, in operation since 1685, is the oldest continuously operating ferry in the US. Grab a bike out of the corn crib and enjoy a leisurely ride around the village or bring your own to enjoy miles of scenic byways. Two kayaks, paddles, and life vests are available for guests to use on our floating dock; don’t miss the opportunity to be one with the river and explore the beautiful tributaries. Take a walk and discover our native bird species and wildlife. Nearby restaurants include The Red Roost (a seasonal crab spot), Bullips bar on the Nanticoke is a favorite spot to watch the sunset and enjoy local food and drinks, while Boonies has casual cuisine.
