Split Toned Gelatin Silver Print (Photography)
14 x 18"

Ward Roe is a Professor of Visual Art at Keystone College, where he has taught for 29 years. He teaches courses in drawing, painting, and photography and also serves as the Visual Arts Program Coordinator and as Director to the Honors Program. Originally from the Pittsburgh area, he resides in Dalton. This work is part of a series he executed while traveling in China.

It is an analog (darkroom made) silver gelatin print made from negatives I shot with a "toy" plastic camera. The simple mechanics of the camera and the plastic lens make for the somewhat "dreamlike" look of the image.
