Each year the Marine Studies department hosts a family friendly Catch and Release Fishing Tournament fundraiser.  This year, we are working to modernize aquarium systems in the Cousteau Center for Marine Studies (CCMS). Every academic year all students visit the CCMS to gain hands-on lab experiences and lessons and the aquariums are the centerpieces.  With a new updated and efficient design and with the replacement of aging equipment, the upper school marine science classes down to lower school students will benefit for many years in the future during their CCMS visits. Additional proceeds help support the Marine Studies program conservation efforts that benefit our local Tampa Bay environment some of which include marsh grass restoration, dolphin research, coastal cleanups, water quality monitoring and STEAM initiatives, as well as the Marine Studies Scholarship fund open to all Canterbury Students.
