Anna Jáquez is an El Paso–born artist of
Mexican-American descent. Her art reflects her
experiences as a woman, a mother, and as a
Mexican-American living along the border. Her
sculptures rely heavily on metalsmithing techniques,
which influence the scale and the scope of the work.
