Amy Clark
Wire Raven
17" x 9"
Amy Clark lives in Helena, Montana. She is a self described "organic artist" as she relies on her innate need to create rather than a formal education in the arts. She works in wire, fabric, paper, rocks and clay, creating whimsical sculptures that “Celebrate Rural Form”. Amy recently completed the Montana Artrepreneur Program sponsored by the Montana Arts Council.
“Each piece is a celebration of the forms I see every day, backyard birds, and other creatures or structures that find their place in my rural landscape. The joy of common moments, a black cow nuzzling her calf, an abandoned grain elevator rising high above the prairie, I am calmed by their presence and want my sculptures to evoke that feeling of a glance out the window on a Sunday drive.”
