Camosun's 50th Anniversary Virtual Silent Auction

In support of 50th Anniversary Student Bursary Legacy Fund

Our Cause

2021 marks the 50th Anniversary of Camosun and despite the year we just had, we hope that you will join us in celebrating this milestone!

In the last year alone, Camosun has had close to 20,000 students registered in courses that are both virtual and, for some of our students, in-person. As a part of the 50th Anniversary celebrations, we are hosting a Virtual Silent Auction  Sept. 16-23 where all proceeds will go towards the 50th Anniversary Student Bursary Legacy Fund.

As one of the most expensive places to live in Canada, student bursaries provide much-needed financial assistance for students in need. Students benefiting from this bursary will allow them to focus on their studies without the added financial burden of tuition and other expenses.

The impact bursaries have on Camosun students:

"I am a first-generation college student who comes from a single-parent household where my mother works as a receptionist and I work at a local restaurant to help pay for tuition and living expenses. The nursing program is extremely rigorous and is known around the world for being one of the hardest undergraduate degrees to obtain. Therefore, balancing work and school is very difficult. The sum of this bursary is incredibly generous and will entirely cover my tuition fees and textbooks for my next semester. This takes a massive weight off my shoulders. Because of this bursary, I have been able to spend more time with my family." - 3rd year Nursing Student
